I decided to take a summer vacation!
Somewhere between 3 years of blogging, nonstop events, and real life I quietly decided to take a much-needed summer vacation from blogging. Go With A Plan
Here’s the thing about outlet mall shopping when you’re updating your seasonal wardrobe, so many distractions! It can be hard to stay focused when you keep finding great deals. After you get inspiration, decide what purpose you need to serve work, evening, casual, and then create a list just like you would for your groceries. That way you don’t come home with the entire contents of the clearance rack.
My goal this year was to find a black moto jacket. It’s an essential wardrobe staple that I somehow don’t own! Now did I find lots of other items that intrigued me (soo many) on my shopping excursion, of course, but knowing “why” I was in the store helped me get the pieces I truly wanted. (Like this jacket from Wilson’s Leather for under $60!)
Leopard print, in my opinion, is a netural but seeing it come down the runway during New York Fashion Week got me inspired to add a few more animal print pieces. I found these great cropped pants from Lane Bryant for under $50! I kept the rest of my look simple with a sweater from J Crew Mercantile. (J Crew isn’t known for their plus size options but let me know in the comments if you want me to do a post about how to shop in straight size section while plus!! There is a fine art to it!)
