Wize Style Wednesday | Wear Your Robe Anywhere!

There is nothing more I adore than a satin robe. At home, I pretty much live in a robe so taking my robe from loungewear to streetwear is a dream come true. There are so many ways to play with the pajama trend. I’m sure it seems intimidating and no one wants to look like they are actually going to bed. I like working in just one element that is pajama-inspired into my look. I have a few suggestions if you want to try this trend. Continue reading

The Walk of Shame

_DSC2078 (1).jpg

There is nothing like a good slip dress to inspire me to show a little skin. Something about the split and the shimmer of this dress made me want to be ultra glamorous. As soon as I ordered this dress I thought wouldn’t it be fun to style an over the top walk of shame look. Since this dress is shiny I knew that it wouldn’t be the most figure flatter but I convinced myself to go for it. The small anxiety I felt before I bought this dress got me thinking about shame and sexuality. Continue reading

Where Did Summer Go?

I mean good grief it’s almost Labor Day weekend I haven’t even had the chance to rock all of the white in my wardrobe. I kept saving them like they were going to accrue interest. Welp now here it is the end of summer ’17 and I will just have to find a reason to rock white for no reason or just break the rules and wear white after Labor Day. I am not afraid to break a fashion rule or two. Rules are made to be challenged but for real where did summer go? I haven’t even had a picnic yet! I was all work and no play this summer. It Was All Good… And Then

I had just come back from a conference geared towards curvy women and heard about Dia & Co. If you’ve never heard of them, they’re a plus size clothing brand that advocates women to be more confident in every outfit! After the conference, I felt fearless, like who is afraid of the big bad wolf? Not me, right? As I looked through my closet certain that I wasn’t afraid of anything in there, fear was hanging on a purple Joy Mangano huggable hanger. A cute body con dress that I felt would look so good on me when I was online shopping only to receive it and remember that I don’t have an hour glass shape. Continue reading

We’ll Always Have Polka Dots

Bringing it back like polka dots!! Well, that is not exactly true they never really left especially since polka dots are my favorite! When I found this bell sleeve top from Fashion to Figure I knew that I had to have it. Sleeves are big this season, no really, they’re huge. If you’re looking for a dramatic statement piece for summer try finding a top with intricate sleeve details. This look can work on all body types.

What’s pretty, brown, and chambray all over? The answer, me!  On my recent shopping outing, I made a few purchases at Lane Bryant. My second purchase was, of course, another jumpsuit. This chambray jumpsuit screamed relaxed weekend look and at 40% percent off I couldn’t leave it behind.  Continue reading

How to Wear Head to Toe Blush

April showers have finally brought May flowers, well at least in my closet. Dusty Rose or blush is all over the place and I’m here for it! Pink is my favorite color and all of the latest shades are perfect for a girl who loves pink but doesn’t want to look like bubble gum.

Pulling off one color can be trickier than it seems I’m sharing my tips on how to nail a monochromatic look.  Continue reading

Spring Forward with JORD Wood Watches

It’s official spring is in full bloom and I couldn’t be more excited to put away my winter coat.  Living in the Midwest means that the weather has not made up it’s mind just yet on if it will be warm or mildly cold. That is why I like to have strong transitional pieces and accessories that give off a fresh spring vibe. When Jord reached out to me to review one of their wood watches I knew this was the perfect spring accessory that I had been in search of. Continue reading

Pink Tulip Club

This past weekend I attended the grand reopening of Pink Tulip Club in their newly renovated Old Montgomery location. I love boutique shopping.  It’s the perfect place to find items that you can’t find anywhere else and get personalized service. I got just that during my visit. I found this cute off the shoulder ombre maxi dress.  I can totally see this as the perfect piece for spring and summer. I can definitely see myself wearing this dress to an outdoor wedding or out for an al fresco evening cocktail. Continue reading
