Get Wardrobe Staples That Can Do BOTH
After your early 20’s there comes a time where your wardrobe can’t be two polar opposites. If you are like me you spend 60% of your week in an office. Which means blazers, slacks, and cardigans because let’s be honest it’s cold at your desk.
I also have an active social life but the days of buying clothes designated for the club are behind me. You may also stop buying “club clothes” when you start to dive deep into developing your own personal style. When I buy a piece it needs to have diversity. I need to be able to go from the office to cocktails, to brunch. Don’t get me wrong I still have a freak-um dress but my wardrobe is now a solid 80/20.
Plaid is Everywhere for Fall
As a girl who grew up watching the movie Clueless I love a good plaid. It can be played with in so many different ways. I especially love this plaid which is menswear-inspired. I love stealing elements from the guys and pairing them with feminine pieces like the slip dress that I am wearing. For a more casual look, I would pair this with a band t-shirt and distressed jeans. I love that you can make this plaid go from work to play by just changing it p a bit. (Notice how I gave this blazer a sexy vibe with this slip dress and the heels)
What are your thoughts on plaid for fall? Is it a yes or a no for you?
