Who doesn’t love a great maxi dress? It’s figure flattering, it’s easy to wear, and they are so versatile for day or night. Dresses are my summer staple. I am always on the hunt for a lightweight and wrinkle resistant maxi dress when I am packing for an impromptu weekend getaway. - Length matters! Remeber you can’t spell MAXI without MAX. Pass on any dress meant to be a full-length dress that doesn’t hit you at your ankle.
- Stay away from prints that seem juvenile or teen-ish. There are a variety of prints that are universal and good for all ages but choosing a print that looks “child like” can age you. You want to capture your youthful energy without looking like you’re trying to keep up with the tweens.
- Fabric matters if you are shopping for an event where you will be outside shop for maxi dresses made of a breathable fabric like cotton, a lightweight knit. or linen. Save your polyester blend dress for the evening when the sun is setting you’ll thank me later.
