I actually love “ugly Christmas sweaters” they just don’t function beyond Christmas. The holidays bring more reasons to celebrate and with that more reasons to look put together. Am I the only one imaging that I am one part of the perfectly styled couple in every December issue of Essence magazine?
I’ve curated three-holiday sweater looks that can take you from day to night.
This Tassel Cardigan has officially made it into my everyday wear. Here I styled it with a boho feel by paring it with flared leg jeans. I elevated the look with a jeweled statement necklace to bring it all together. It’s the perfect casual look that you can wear at a laid back office party or hosting a lively game night at home.
This Asymmetric Knitted Sweater is all purpose. Who knew a turtleneck could be so sexy. If you are busty like me and are concerned with looking top heavy pair this look with a statement necklace to bring the focus back up to your face.
You can take a basic everyday sweater and wear it out at night. I paired this Crop Knit Check Sweater with a tulle skirt for an evening look. I love the preppy look of this sweater with this playful skirt. This sweater ran big if you want true cropped sweater look I would order a size down in this sweater. If you’re not into tulle this can also work with sequin skirt. Remember the rule for mixing basics with evening wear is:
basic+evening wear+ evening accessories= chic
